The Portuguese Fibromyalgia Association was founded on April 27, 2016.
We are a non-profit organization, for people of all ages, diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, their family and friends.
The association is composed of volunteer patients advocates.

What we do:
- Informative events with health professional (lectures, webinars, etc.)
- Workshops
- Ludic events (walks, lunches, etc.)
- We promote scientific research
- Patient helpline (telephone)
- Translation of scientific articles
- Creation of exclusive content to help patients (E-books)
- Create awareness in society and the medical community, promoting information campaigns about the disease, in order to strengthen respect for patients;
- Creation of awareness content on social media
- We participate in scientific events at national and European level
- We are members of a European association
- Fight for patients' rights
- We attend courses and training so that we are up to date

- Participation in projects of other patient organizations

- Inform and clarify Fibromyalgia patients, families and friends about the characteristics of the disease and forms of treatment;
- Promote information on national and international investigations and new therapies on Fibromyalgia;
- Establish protocols with health technicians and complementary therapies technicians so that our members can have economic benefits in consultations and therapies;
- Supporting children and young students with Fibromyalgia by informing parents and schools of the legislation to include these children and young people in Special Educational Needs, so that they can have better school performance and encouragement, as Fibromyalgia can greatly affect the school path
